Sennheiser Case with Lanyard Strap for the EW G3 and 2000 Series Microphones (Black)
This is the black Case with Lanyard Strap for the EW G3 and 2000 Series Microphones from Sennheiser. This is a custom fit case and will accommodate a Camera Mount Receiver, a Bodypack Transmitter and either a Plug-on Transmitter or a Handheld transmitter as well as (4) AA batteries (sold separtely). There is also a lycra pocket for storage. The case is made from 3mm EVA with a plush interior and EPS foam nest for support. Handy dual zippers secure the case. The case is accented by a handsome Sennheiser logo.

When I purchase new gear I always buy cases, puuches etc to store and protect it. So I did this time when got this to store my Sennheiser EW-112 wireless system. Fits the system perfectly, even has places to put AA batteries. Look professional and keep gear in safe. Also a 50 % discount made by BH was great addition to quality. Totally satisfied!

I am not really impressed with the case. It houses my g3 mics adequately, and construction is ok. However, it's expensive and unnecessarily bulky.
A friend bought the same set of mics with a pelican case for about the same price. His case is sturdier, waterproof, and holds the mics just as well as mine. If I could do it over, I would skip this and go for a pelican as well.

Contrary to an earlier review, this case does indeed hold the G3 transmitter and receiver packs. The case is made to snug the packs, not just drop them in. Give them a push and they'll fit. Mind you, they don't push all the way down to the bottom of the case, but that's because there is a recess underneath for accommodating the camera shoe mount plate.
I had purchased the G3 ENG kit, so I have the SKP transmitter module for use with standard microphones. As a result, this case doesn't work well for my mic - it's specifically formed for the SKM 100 mic. The SKP pack can be fit into the case and secured by the SKM transmitter recess, but you can't then also fit a microphone in the case.
Mostly, though, I needed this case to keep my packs from rattling around, and it does a fine job of it. The slots for the AA batteries seem like wasted space to me, but I'll probably stick a spare set in there ... just in case.

The EW G3 transmitter and receiver won't fit in this case, just the microphone. It is a nice case if you have the microphone.

I was hesitant to spend [$] on this case without actually seeing the quality first. However, upon receiving the item, I couldn't be happier. Absolutely beautiful construction and perfectly fits my Sennheiser ew135 ew165 wireless microphones. Beautiful "Sennheiser" raised logo on the outside of the case, and incredibly soft yet durable interior that is perfectly molded to the hold these mics! Don't hesitate to buy this product today! You will love it!
