Can record and stop only with the Kodak ZX5. So it's fine for this purpose but not much more as the other buttons don't work.

Bought this for use with our Kodak Playsport ZX5. Only function that works with the Kodak Playsport ZX5 camera is the record on/off function. However, in order to get this function to work you have to be so close to the camera you might as well control it manually anyway! There is no range because the receiver is on the lense side (front)of the camera! Should be on the screen side. Kinda defeats the purpose of a remote control! All the other functions are not compatible with the Playsport ZX5 and do not work at all. It was quite a let down that such a great concept is useless with this camera. One thing positive, the price is right... but I guess that makes no difference if it does not work! Hope Kodak recognizes these problems and does something about it.

Great accessory and a fantastic price, you have to be infront of the lens for the transmitter to pickup properly.No setup, just press the buttons and they work with my Playsport ZX3

The remote is perfect for starting and stopping recording when working from a tripod when you want to get into the action. Its also great when playing your videos or pictures on a large screen TV. Simple to use and very compact and I would call it a must have for any video recorder.

The only thing that works when using this remote with a Playsport ZX5 is the shutter button. None of the other functions work. Not worth the money.

This works great. I mount the camera (using the Gorillapod) to a ski pylon on my boat to video us wakesurfing, wakeboarding and wakestaking. This remote makes it simple to start and stop recording.
