The NEC NP-M300WS LCD Widescreen Ultra Short Throw Projector packs a great deal of desirable features into a small package that would be at home in the classroom, boardroom and media room or on the road.
The widescreen, value-driven and eco-friendly portable projector's defining feature is its short throw capabilities and it's in tight quarters or constricted spaces that this projector really shines. That means you can position the projector in the front of the room on a simple surface without the interference with the light beam by audience members, which is so common with longer-throw units.
The NP-U300X-WK1 features brilliant color rendition with a crackling 3000 ANSI lumens, WXGA resolution and a crisp 2000:1 contrast ratio. With advanced connectivity, including HDMI and USB inputs, and wired and wireless (optional) networking options, the NP-M300WS benefits users requiring maintenance-free design and environmentally conscious features. Finally, the low fan noise (36 dB normal / 30 dB eco) means that it will seen and not heard whether rear projected, ceiling or table mounted.

Comments about NEC NP-M300WS LCD Widescreen Ultra Short Throw Projector:
Church service announcements, scripture, sermon points, etc. Very easy to set up an use. The signal fills a 6x8 ft screen when set up 6 ft from screen.
Very bright, even for our 10:45 a.m. service. Do not have to dim the lights.

Comments about NEC NP-M300WS LCD Widescreen Ultra Short Throw Projector:
This is an amazing projector! Once you see the lens, you realize it is a marvel of technology. Being able to throw such a large, crisp image at such a short distance and from below the bottom of the screen is a dream come true for educators who present around projectors. This is quite a value for an LCD projector (avoiding the color rainbows of DLP).
The image is evenly illuminated (a problem with some short throws) and very crisp, edge to edge. Even in eco mode (where the fan noise is very noticeably reduced) it is quite bright. While the contrast ratio is not up to that of a home movie projector, it does well with videos (brightness needs to be turned up to pickup subtle grays in images).
Because it is not a zoom lens, you must move the projector to change screen size. I haven't found that to be a problem so far, but it might be an issue in some settings.
While the projector is a little bulky, it is not nearly as heavy as it looks and so it is portable enough for local travel.
There are many inputs and features that I have yet to explore, but it looks as if this projector will be quite capable for many years.

Comments about NEC NP-M300WS LCD Widescreen Ultra Short Throw Projector:
This is my first time owning a projector and I feel that this was a great projector to start with. The Short Throw works well for people who don't have a lot of room but still want to have a projector. The picture quality is great and so is the sound. I feel like i am in the movie theater! We are thinking of mounting this on the ceiling because of the projectors size.
