The Black Pod from The Pod is a bean bag that serves as a camera platform for camcorders, medium-format cameras, and for heavy DSLRs outfitted with accessories. The Black Pod is constructed of sturdy nylon and filled with plastic pellets, which can be removed and added in order to customize the Pod based on your specific camera/lens and the requirements of a particular shot. The stable camera platform is ideal for shooting outdoors from unpredictable surfaces.

The Silver Pod features a 1/4"-20 screw at the center, enabling you to mount a camera or camcorder whose weight is relatively centered. Two included adjustable straps can be threaded through the pod's loops in order to secure the camera to the bean bag.

The Black Pod is sealed with a strong hook & loop fastener that can be opened and closed as many times as needed. You can change out the plastic pellets for any other stuffing. With a black vinyl bottom and water-resistant nylon shell, the Black Pod is suitable for use in rainy conditions. It's strong enough for a full-grown man to step on with no ill effects.

Malleable shape allows you to set up the Black Pod on any surface, such as benches, cars, ledges, rocks, the ground, etc.
Four hook & loop position pads on top of the Black Pod reduce camera slippage
Straps can also be used to attach the Black Pod itself to a rig or other object
