Building upon the design of the well-received TD5, the Westcott Spiderlite TD6 adds another socket for a total of 6 for increased light output. The light fixture accepts optional tungsten halogen (2800K) lamps up to 1200W maximum as well as fluorescents (3200 - 6000K) and screw-mount flash. Three separate controls allow multiple combinations of bulbs together with no color shift. The TD6 has all-metal construction with 4 built-in receptacles for direct attachment of a 4-sided softbox without an adapter ring.
This Westcott Spiderlite TD6 2 Light Kit (110V AC) is the perfect kit for taking studio-quality lighting on the road. The core of the kit is the Spiderlite TD6 and what's better than one TD6? - two, of course. Each head is provided with six 50W, daylight-balanced fluorescent bulbs, totaling 300W each. A small (16 x 22") silver-interior softbox is included as is a medium (24 x 32") softbox for the second head. They can be used in a basic main light-fill light configuration which is the foundation of virtually all lighting setups. The TD6 heads are supported by 2 sturdy 10' stands and it all fits in the supplied wheeled location case.
