Pyle Pro PPR80 Linear PCM Portable Digital Audio Recorder
The PPR80 Linear PCM Portable Digital Audio Recorder from Pyle-Pro is a compact and portable audio recorder that's ideal for musicians, journalists, students, teachers, and more. The recorder offers stereo or mono recording in Linear PCM WAV or MP3 formats for terrific flexibility. Audio can be recorded at rates up to 24-bit/96kHz for top-quality results. Files can be stored in the unit's internal 2GB flash memory, or stored on an SD flash card via the SD card slot.
The recorder has integrated stereo mics and speakers, so you can record and play back material without any additional equipment. Standard 3.5mm mic and line inputs let you connect a variety of microphones, instruments, and other audio sources. A stereo 3.5mm headphone jack offers private listening. The recorder is equipped with a USB 2.0 port for convenient file transfer to a computer.
The PPR80 has a full-function dot matrix LCD display that shows voice recording time, selected modes, the currently selected folder, battery life, and more. Other features of the recorder include a delayed recording mode, repeat mode, and hold on/off to prevent accidental changes. The unit operates on a pair of AA batteries for up to 9 hours of recording or 10 hours of playback.

I use this recorder to record church services.
It captures full spectrum sound using any of the source inputs.
This little recorder functions fully as advertised with a 16G SD card.
My only complaint is that my Mac Pro running OS 10.7 will not recognize it on a USB port. So I plug the SD card into a card reader to download my files. also I must remember to reset the calendar and clock when I changed batteries.
Overall I give it four stars.
