The Cyclops DSLR Viewfinder from Cinevate Inc. is a framing / focusing tool for a DSLR camera. Its sled is designed to allow for nearly limitless rigging options. The viewfinder can be adjusted to accommodate larger cameras and the front and rear hood elements can be interchanged to allow for the trend of larger LCD sizes. Additionally, you can request a special riser to adjust the Cyclops to optimum height for use with lower LCD screens. The optic / lens itself can be switched from the back of your camera to the front, allowing for versatility in detail and image sharpness, depending upon your subject and your needs.
This viewfinder allows you to view your subject with great focus, even from 3 feet away from the camera! What's more is that with this tool, director and shooter can view images at the same time. The viewfinder does not attach in any way to your LCD; there's no touch fastener, sticky tape or elastic involved.

Comments about Cinevate Inc Cyclops DSLR Viewfinder:
I am a videographer so I decided to give the Cyclops a try doing a video wedding this past weekend. I absolutely love it. The magnification allows me to see my subjects crystal clear. The best part is I don't have to place my eye tightly close to this particular viewfinder. I can now view my shots using both eyes and still able to use my peripheral vision to see what's going on in the surrounding areas as well. All in all, the cyclops is an awesome piece of equipment. It is my new secret weapon which will give me an advantage edge over the other videographers. The only complaint I have about it is that it is a bit overpriced.

Comments about Cinevate Inc Cyclops DSLR Viewfinder:
Cinevate's DSLR Viewfinder is extremely easy to attach to my Nikon D7000 DSLR. One simple Robertson driver is all that is needed. Just mount the camera body on to the cyclops and tighten the Robertson screw in to the tripod mount slot. The dismount is just easy!
I have no more concerns about the balance of both eyes when focusing and the focus is extraordinarily pristine. Nor do I experience one exhausted eye after more than an hour of viewing my project through a single eye viewfinder or worse attempting to properly focus through the LCD. Cinevate's DSLR Viewfinder blew me away when I saw it demonstrated on my own DSLR. What's also great is that I can step back a bit and view what going on through the lens without placing my face into the viewfinder. Its clear, sharp and shows the subject bigger than life. The fact that you've invested in a macro lens as well is a huge plus. My best investment this year!

Comments about Cinevate Inc Cyclops DSLR Viewfinder:
I used the cyclops for a video I just directed and it worked beautifully. I loved that I didn't need to put my eyes right up to the viewfinder in order to see the picture, I still had great vision even from a distance. That proved to be a lifesaver since the shoulder rig I was using had short rails and would've been pressed against my chin with any other viewfinder. Also, we had a camera spill on set and the viewfinder took the brunt of the impact. Not only did it keep performing but there wasn't even a scratch on it! Now that's durability.
