I use these earphones mainly for flights and for my office (where the people out in the hallway can be quite noisy). I mainly use them with either play white noise or low-key music, to drown out the background noise.
The noise cancellation is quite good, once you set the earphones at the right angle. And the quality is surprisingly good.
Very good product and a very good value.

good sound, good bass, good price/buy.i've tried them all, Dre Beats, Sony, Shure, Bose... UE has been the best buy. I'm satisfied with them. Use them at noisy gyms, airplanes, sports stadiums, ambient noise is shut out.This model has a newer wire design, its flat (similar to the Dre Beats)Only complaint is i've gone thru about 5 of UE earphones, may not be the most durable, but doubt any earphones are anyways. Its [$], just buy another pair.
