Ikelite Underwater Housing for Panasonic ZS and TZ Series Digital Cameras

The Ikelite Underwater Housing for Panasonic ZS and TZ Series Digital Cameras is a durable waterproof case that enables you to shoot underwater with your Panasonic ZS or TZ Series digital camera. All camera controls are fully functional through the housing, which allows you to safely shoot with your camera down to a depth of 200' (61 m). Two 12-24 threaded mounts on the bottom of the housing allow for the secure attachment of optional trays and lighting accessories.

Optional port adapter #9306.82 slides over the front of the lens port and allows for the attachment of 67 mm threaded macro lenses from Inon and Epoque. The adapter may be removed and replaced underwater and does not require modification to the housing's standard lens port. Macro lenses are sold separately. The camera's lens specifications prevent the effective attachment of external wide angle conversion lenses. However, the lens port does accept the optional #6430.4 WD-4 Wide Angle Conversion Dome, which takes advantage of the camera's full angle of coverage underwater. The dome may be removed and replaced underwater and requires no modification to the housing's standard port.

An included flash diffuser improves lighting quality when the camera's built-in flash is used. A built-in flash is effective between 1-3 feet (0.3-0.9 m) from the subject in clear conditions. For best results, an external underwater strobe is recommended. Use the Ikelite AutoFlash AF35 for easy automatic exposure, or add an optional DS Substrobe with EV Manual Controller for more power and a wider angle of coverage.

The housing supports the use of certain external color filters, which replace some of the reds, oranges and more natural tones that would otherwise be lost underwater. Filter #6441.46 is available for use in tropical blue water and #6441.86 is available for use in green water. Use color filters in shallow, sunny conditions in combination with a manual white balance for optimum results. This housing is compatible with the following Panasonic digital cameras: ZS8, ZS10, TZ18, TZ20 and TZ22. A flash deflector, a 1cc tube of silicone lubricant and a vinyl port cover are also included with the housing.
