The Phillips 7" Portable Multi-System DVD Player PET749E is a compact, portable entertainer that is compatible with both NTSC and PAL signals. That means you can play DVDs from virtually anywhere in the world. This versatile player also supports TV, audio and photos to afford you a wealth of options.
The PET749E features a 7" TFT color LCD widescreen display with a 800 x 480 x 3(RGB) resolution. The native 16:9 aspect ratio means you won't have black bars at the top and bottom of the screen when watching DVD's and other widescreen format video. Designed for maximum flexibility and convenience, the screen swivels 180° and can be adjusted up or down to let you watch comfortably from multiple angles.
Your new PET749E can also entertain you with CDs, MP3s, digital TV and your JPEG photos. It offers a built-in digital tuner so you can receive digital TV broadcasting, and you'll get access to the free digital TV programs in your area. The detachable antenna design means you can easily connect the TV to an alternate (indoor or rooftop) antenna as needed. With the automatic channel search function, you can easily access all the available channels in your area.
A car adapter makes this player road ready, while a built-in rechargeable battery offers up to three hours of playback time. The credit card-sized remote control offers an additional perk for portable use, making it easy to make system adjustments yet also easily stowable until you need it again.
