The black Rally 58 Hip Pack from Tamrac is a comfortable and efficient way to leave yourself hands-free while pursuing your photography. This pack offers you a way to carry minimal gear in a safe and secure manner while also leaving your hands free to hike, drink or make a phone call.
Rated to hold a DSLR with a 5.5" (14.0cm) lens attached in shooting position, it will also accommodate an extra lens such as most 75-300mm lenses and a flash. That's enough gear for a simple day trip with your family. The bag is designed to open away from your body which will give you rapid access to your camera as well as keeping roving eyes from seeing what's inside the bag. The internal divider is movable so you can create a perfect sized pocket for whatever gear you are carrying that day.
The sides contain two mesh pockets that are large enough to hold water bottles or your MP3 player, iPhone or similar sized electronics. Tripod straps will support a small tripod so you'll be able to shoot macro or evening shots. Inside, Tamrac has incorporated their exclusive Memory & Battery Management System that permits you to "code" your batteries or memory card with red flags so you can differentiate between new and used units.
The bag is carried by its waist belt that connects by a quick-release buckle or top carry handle. Side cinch straps offer additional help for stabilization. All in all, this water-resistant bag, with its strong zippered entry, front zippered pocket and overall slim profile is hard to beat when you need a waist pack. It's backed by Tamrac's five-year warranty.

Comments about Tamrac Rally 58 Hip Pack (Black):
I ordered this bag because I thought from the description that it would hold a few key pieces of equipment, enough for just a day shoot. I have Canon 40D and 7D bodies with several lenses. I was tring to put one body with my 24 - 70 f2.8L lens attached to it and my 70-200 f2.8L lens next to it. I considered my 2x multiplier and/or a 580 flash extra nice if they would fit. The bag will NOT support a 70 - 200 F2.8L lens. Don't even try it. If you want to take the hood fo it it won't even fit in the bag. If you take the hood off you might be able to get the lens in the bag but you'll never get it zipped closed. This bag would be ideal for the smaller Canon XT or XS bodies and the NON- "L" lenses but if you're trying to pack the larger pro body and lenses forget using this bag.
Aside from this I dd like the quality and features of the bag, just not large enough to support what I was trying to use it for.

Comments about Tamrac Rally 58 Hip Pack (Black):
As with previous purchased Tamrac products, this Hip Pack is well constructed and readily accommodates nearly all my Nikon accessory lenses and my D7000. By use of the Velcro partitions you can modify space for just about any lens. Adjusting straps allow wearer to readjust how the pack rides on one's hips and to allow easy shifting from front to rear carry. Forward facing zipper opening really affords easy access for that quick shot! I'm well pleased with this purchase!!
