Vello Hot Shoe Adapter with PC Socket + Top Shoe - for Canon (E-TTL)
Vello's Hot Shoe Adapter with PC Socket + Top Shoe allows you to add a PC connection to any Canon camera that does not come with a built-in PC sync connection, while still retaining the existing hot shoe functionality. The top hot shoe supports full E-TTL metering when used with Canon TTL compatible components.
Note! This adapter does not provide high-voltage sync protection, and is not recommended for use with flash units that have a trigger voltage of more than 6V.

I am a photography major and my older canon camera needed an adaptor for my lighting class. It works great and is perfect for everything I need it for! It is only for the canons so it is difficult to use it on a Nikon.

It fits very snuggly the hot shoe of my 60D. The flash on top retains all it's TTL functionality, and it provives a PC connection for my radio salves. This is what I wanted!

I use an external on-camera 550EX flash in E-TTL mode for fill and for firing reliability Radio Poppers on 2 additional flashes. Since my 60D has no PC-sync port this adapter is my solution to fire the Radio Popper transmitter. Seems well constructed, fits securely, holds my flash securely & works as advertized.
Still early in my ownership.

This hot shoe adapter does exactly what it says. Its great for those who have cameras that do not have a PC Socket, and want to sync their strobes. The nice thing with this hot shoe adapter, is that is has another hot shoe on top of it for your own flash if you decide to switch back and forth from strobes to hot shoe flash. It simply saves you a step if you're constantly going back and forth. Highly recommended, its a vital tool for those looking to get the best out of their equipment.
