Vello Hot Shoe Adapter - Converts Standard Hot Shoe to Sony Hot Shoe + PC Socket
Vello's Hot Shoe Adapter to Convert Standard Hot Shoe to Sony Hot Shoe allows you to use Sony or Minolta hot shoe mount flashes (or other accessories) on a camera with a standard hot shoe. Because Sony uses a proprietary hot shoe type, Sony (and Minolta) hot shoe accessories could not be used with any other brand cameras - until now.
In addition, this adapter allows you to add a PC connection to any camera that does not come with a built-in PC sync connection, while still retaining the existing hot shoe functionality (manual mode only, non-TTL).
Note! Note! This adapter does not support TTL flash operation.
Note! This adapter does not provide high-voltage sync protection, and is not recommended for use with flash units that have a trigger voltage of more than 6V.

These adapters are very simple and easy to use. I can connect my Sony Flashes to them and mount them on any flash light stand. The PC Socket is great for me in combination with the elinchrom universal receivers
