I needed speakers for on location work with my NetBook. I have a larger version of these speakers at home and they are awesome! These speakers are a pleasant surprise. Balanced sound, plenty of bass from the subwoofer and plenty of volume. Much better sound than the price indicates. Highly recommended!
Hard to carry if you are trying to travel light. They take up a corner of a suitcase. I have them in storage on location.

I love these speakers. I had been searching for speakers for my Macbook. I have previously owned Altec Lansing speakers and loved how clear they were. I was not disappointed with this purchase. The sound is great for the price I paid. I am not interested in throwing a house party, nor did I want to spend $200 for speakers. These are plenty loud for my office and the price was unbeatable. I would def recommend these to others.

The title should give a 'heads up' to anyone expecting quality from this purchase. I liked the idea that it came with 2 speakers and a sub but thats the end of the fairytale on this one. The sound quality is horrible and way too bassy. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because of the volume level (it's decent) and the fact you can manipulate the equalizer in most cpu's to get it to sound somewhat like an unregretable purchase. I now use a different set of speakers for my computer and use these in the workout room with a plug in mp3 player. Do a bit more searching if you are looking for a better quality set of speakers.

I now live in an apartment and need to keep the volume down. These speakers are fine for the voice track of instructional videos and for low volume background music. At this low price if your needs are basic the BXR1321 2.1 is a good choice. But if you want to rock out or do serious gaming, you need to move up on size and number of speakers IMHO. Thanks.
