Bolt CBP-N1 Compact Battery Pack for SB800 & Other Select Nikon Flashes
The CBP-N1 Compact Battery Pack for SB800 & Other Select Nikon Flashes from Bolt will boost the number of flashes and the recycle time of your compatible Nikon flash. The CBP-N1 can operate on 4 or 8 AA batteries--alkaline, lithium or nickel-hydride (Ni-MH). Lights on the pack indicate Standby, Recycle, or Low Power mode. A thermal protection switch prevents overheating. The CBP-N1 can provide up to 524 flashes per charge, and recycle times as fast as 1.88 seconds. The pack, which weighs just 7 oz without the batteries, can also be attached to the bottom of your camera using the tripod socket.

Battery hatch is a bit fiddly and the place where the cord attaches don't look real sturdy and is where it will probably fail in the long run. Works fine for now. I also have CBP-N2 for SB900. It too is ok.

This product functions just like the Nikon Version. I used 2 of these at a Charity event in a bowling alley. They worked great! I spent all day with my Sb-800's and didn't change batteries once.
