The Lastolite Tilthead with Spigot is a safe and secure way to mount any light fixture with a 5/8" receiver on a stand. The Tilthead features a ratcheting locking knob that prevents sudden movements when released. A built-in umbrella receptacle with a knurled locking screw accepts umbrella shafts up to 8 mm.

This is the 3rd one I bought, so that should show you how much I like it. Strong, secure, and easy to use. I use them withumbrella's, softboxes, and octaboxes. I also own a few manfrotto siltheads, but prefer the Lastolites for there smaller size, and lighter weight.

Do what is supposed to do. I have two of these that I use with my softbox and octabox. Perfect for when you need to tilt them.
