The SB 300 2.1-Channel Soundbar System from JBL delivers true 2.1-channel sound in a slim and unobtrusive design. The system features a slim soundbar that provides the left and right speakers, amplifiers, and controls, hidden inside the distinctive JBL Weave design to look great next to a flat-panel TV. The soundbar has a pair of 2" midrange drivers and a 1" dome tweeter, plus 100W of amplifier power to deliver crisp, clear audio with a wide frequency response. The sound bar is magnetically shielded for safe use near your TV and other electronic devices.
The system also features a wireless subwoofer with an 8" down-firing driver. Unlike conventional subwoofers that can interact with nearby walls, this sub interacts with your floor. It has a ported enclosure to extend low frequency response and reduce compression. It also has volume, phase, and crossover controls so you can fine-tune the acoustic performance.
Other features of the system include 3D surround processing, dual input connections for convenient hookup, dual position EQ, and an auto power on feature that automatically turns the system on when an audio signal is detected. A credit card-sized wireless IR remote control is included so you can control the system from your favorite chair.

Comments about JBL SB 300 2.1-Channel Soundbar System:
I live in an apartment with a small living room and was looking for a sound system to replace my over-the-top 5.1 system that recently broke. This is ideal. Two pieces; a very simple set up; and QUALITY audio. I run my DVD player through the RCA input and my PS3 through the optical and it's perfect. The sound quality from the soundbar is pristine; clear, crisp, balanced, weighty. The interfacing with the wireless subwoofer is also ideal: you can essentially put the subwoofer wherever sounds best to you, and then set the bass level and smoothness to your liking. The surround sound emulation is surprisingly effective and even the remote control is perfect; I've never had a system this pristinely simple and quality. I went with JBL because I knew I'd get quality and it's exactly what I got. Oh yeah, and this thing does have POWER if you want to push it. I definitely recommend this for smaller living rooms and people looking for great quality without the overkill/complexity of 5.1. I also recommend it for everyone looking for a great sound system to supplement their home theatre experience.
