The A8OP from Apogee is an 8-channel analog I/O and 8-channel digital audio I/O module for the Symphony I/O. The module occupies one of the two slots available on the chassis and represents 25 years of Apogee research and design excellence.
Refined and updated circuitry with fewer, more advanced components allows for a shorter audio path, resulting in more recording clarity and transparency and a more efficient power distribution. The module features enhanced C777 clocking performance and lower converter latency.
The analog I/O requires optional breakout cables, available in various configurations to suit individual requirements.

Comments about Apogee Electronics A8OP - Analog and Optical Digital Audio Module for Symphony I/O:
I record straight into the symphony I/O using API preamps and sometimes using my tape machine to transfer freshly recorded analog signal. The quality of conversion is quite remarkable. I enjoy the fact that you can push the level just high enough to experience this converter's soft limiter naturally curve your peaks maintaining the integrity of the overall recorded sound. Less fear and more exploration in a device usually considered least flexible such as a converter.
