The water, shock and dust proof Samsung W200 Rugged Full HD 1080p Pocket Camcorder (Red) is designed to follow you on any adventure. It's specially crafted to record safely in up to 10' (3 m) of water and it features special white balance and sound design, which limit the loss of audio or video clarity that's common to normal underwater recording. The W200 records in full 1080p HD and features 1920 x 1080 resolution or 1280 x 720 resolution. For taking still JPEG images, the W200 can capture shots with up to 5.5MP and 2720 x 2040 resolution. It boasts auto focus, auto shutter and auto white balance. Plus, it has a built-in microphone and records audio in AAC file format. For video, the W200 uses the H.264 recording format, and it also enhances the recording quality by reducing image noise and distortion. For playback, you can use the mini HDMI port to view your Full 1920 x 1080/30p recordings in Full HD on a compatible HDTV. HDMI transfers uncompressed high-definition video and audio for crisp and clear playback of your memories. The bright lens on the W200 affords several aperture steps for shooting with higher shutter speeds in low-light. This helps prevent blurring and image distortion.
The camcorder also features Record Pause and Smart Filter. Record Pause lets you pause recording without starting another file and Smart Filter gives you tons of artistic options to jazz up photos and video. The W200 also has a built-in USB arm and MicroSD Card slot. The USB arm lets you quickly charge the device in any USB port, as well as upload content onto your computer. With a MicroSD Card slot, you can easily store your content and then load onto your computer later. This camarea is great. I go camping a lot and well most camaras can't stay with me long. They get dropped on the ground or in the water. This is not a problom for this little pocket sized camara. Great high qultiy videos. AMAZING

This product does exactly what it says. It is waterproof, dust proof, and shock proof. I tested it in the three different environments and the camera works flawlessly. I was going to buy a Flip camera but I can't increase the memory on those, so I bought this camera and can add 16gb or 32gb card if I want. That is real awesome.

I own regular HD camcorders and wanted to add some more punch to our family videos. I looked for reviews on pocket-size (limited budget) waterproof camcorders and I finally bought this samsung camcorder because the quality of its videos as can be found on the internet.
I now do not hesitate to film outside in the rain/snow and will surely bring it to the beach and film in the water and also get views of the beach from the water. Video quality is very good in adequate lightning and color is fine. This little thing does for me what I expected to. At the highest quality, video is recorded at 17Mbps. Also, it has a tripod screw which is a plus.

I bought this as a gift so I've only played with it a bit - I can't offer a meaningful review on the product. I can, however, say that I will add B&H to my list of trusted vendors.
I bought this camcorder pre-Black Friday. I was very pleased to later see the same product - at a higher price (including local taxes) - included in a local store's BF circular. I got the product I wanted at a great price - and I didn't have to fight the crowds on Black Friday to do it.
To the technical points of the transaction, B&H charged my card only what they said they would, delivered the product on time and in good (first quality, no factory re-mans) condition. What more can I ask?
