The Avid Production Suite is a third party software bundle for use with the Media Composer 5.5 /
5, Symphony, and NewsCutter systems. Consisting of Avid DVD by Sonic, Avid FX, SmartSound Sonicfire Pro, and Sorenson Squeeze, it allows you to make stunning visual effects, transitions, titles, graphics, music beds, and deliver optimized content for Blu-ray, DVD, and online viewing.
The Avid DVD by Sonic allows you to swiftly and effortlessly author professional DVDs and Blu-ray discs. In addition to Windows-based systems, it can also work with Windows-emulation apps on Macs. The software enables you to author and burn discs with advanced controls, and produce multi-language titles. You can also export chapter points and thumbnails from the timeline, and generate and import subtitle tracks.
Offering a powerful collection of creative tools designed by Boris FX, the Avid FX enables you to make stunning 2D and 3D composites, titles, animation, and effects. It comes with 1,500 customizable templates and 115 filters such as Wire Removal, Grain Match, and Light Zoom. You can also design your own titles and graphics using text, drawing, styles, and animation tools. In addition to lens blur effects and noise reduction tool, the suite also has an OpenGL particle engine.
Using SmartSound Sonicfire Pro, you can make fully customized scores from royalty-free music for films, TV shows, commercials, and other videos. It includes an array of loops and pre-recorded soundtracks, and you can match beats to video, insert a stinger, alter the tempo and pitch. In addition, it also allows you to fine-tune searches with Sensory Searching, search for music by simply tapping a tempo, and get new spotting tools.
The Sorenson Squeeze suite allows you to optimize content in a variety of formats such as HD, DVD, MPEG-2, MPEG-4/H.264, Flash, and 3GPP. You can then use the content for web or DVD delivery, author DVDs and Blu-ray Discs on Windows, and burn discs on a PC or Mac. It also allows you to publish content directly to Sorenson 360, YouTube, Twitter, Akamai, Limelight, and other servers.
