The Freecom Mobile Drive Mg (1.5TB) is specifically designed for the Mac market as a storage expansion option for your MacBook. With its USB 3.0 interface, the Mg is even future-ready. But don't fret - it will work on any computer with a USB 2.0 port as well. Made from magnesium, the enclosure of the drive is lightweight, thin, and stylish. And the lack of a cooling fan ensures quiet operation.

Comments about Freecom Mobile Drive Mg (1.5TB):
The drive has a fantastic visual appeal and feels physically, to be high quality.
It's very easy to use as there is no annoying unremovable software that takes over, its just a drive.
However, one expects a portable hard drive to be silent. It's not at all silent, it makes a loud noise every ten seconds. Consistently. For a lot of people this is simply unacceptable and there's no way I will be continuing to use this product or recommend it.
In the short time I used it the drive disconnected and then was not recognised again either. Very poor impressions of this product and the noise has been reported in other reviews elsewhere on the web.
