International orders*The Axis 18-Channel Video Encoder consists of an Axis 291 1U 3-slot rack populated with 3 Axis Q7406 6-channel video encoder blades. Multiple individually-configurable video streams can be delivered from each channel at full frame rate in all resolutions up to D1. In addition to Motion JPEG (MPEG), the Q7406 also supports H.264 compression that helps reduce video file sizes without compromising on the quality and integrity of images.
Up to 3 simultaneous, individually-configured streams at up to 30 fps with different compression formats and resolutions can be sent to different recipients, thus optimizing the use of available network bandwidth. Image adjustment settings allow you to improve the contrast, brightness, and saturation of images before the encoding process begins. The Motion Detection feature allows video recording to begin once motion is detected. Privacy Masking can exclude certain spaces within a selected area from triggering motion based recordings.
Active Tampering Alarm functionality enables security staff to detect disrupted camera operation, by automatically alerting the operator in the event of redirection, blocking, or defocusing of the camera. In addition, the Q7406 triggers an alarm in the event of video loss. The external inputs and outputs of the encoder can be connected to sensors and relays, allowing the system to activate lights, react to alarms, and open or close doors. The Q7406 6-channel video encoder blades support a wide range of analog PTZ cameras. It also comes with password protection, IP address filtering, and HTTPS encryption features for enhanced security.
The AXIS 291 1U Video Server Rack is designed to migrate from 4 to 18 analog cameras into IP-based digital solutions using only one Ethernet port. It supports MPEG- 4 and Motion JPEG video at up to 30 fps in 4CIF resolution on all channels simultaneously.
With support for hot swapping, blades can be removed or replaced without first having to power down the unit. This will allow users in a dynamic CCTV environment to move blades from one server to another or swap an installed blade for one that is more appropriate for a particular camera or application.
