Maybe the electronic contacts are not as sturdy as the OEM, maybe the plastic is not EXACTLY the same quality but it is also on third of the price of the original. At the price the Bower grip has a way better quality/price ratio than the OEM. I wouldn't change my choice.

When I received this grip, it looked good. Then I tried to use it. The battery tray (AA tray) was EXTREMELY hard to open. So, I tried the tray for the camera batteries. Luckliy, I didn't put a camera battery in it. Once it was in the grip, it couldn't be removed. The knob on the tray broke off. I returned it for the Zeikos model. The Zeikos was great and worked like a dream. Only five dollars more and a hundred percent better.

I feel like this is an accessory that I don't always use. If you ilke the beefy feel of the grip go with it. Other than that, I generally leave mine at home and bring extra batteries in my bag.

Comments about Bower Battery Grip for Canon EOS 60D DSLR:
The battery pack fits perfectly to the camera. It does make it quite a bit bulkier but that is a price I'm willing to pay for extended batter life. It's nice to have the option to be able to resort to AA batteries in a pinch with this accessory as well.

Comments about Bower Battery Grip for Canon EOS 60D DSLR:
I've read some of the previous reviews and I have not had the same experience. It has worked flawlessly for me. In all honesty, I do not shoot 1000 photos a weekend and I'm not a professional photographer. I do use my camera to shoot a lot of video never the less and I've been very happy with this item.

It looks good, feels good, and works fine.
The shutter button feels different from the one on the camera but it works fine, I haven't had trouble with it so far.
IIts a great product for how much you are paying for, I highly recommend it.

The fact that you can use AA batteries as well as the not so cheap Canon batteries makes this a must have.

This is the most disappointing camera accessory I've purchased in 20 years. It quit working DURING a wedding and the battery tray lever broke. It was less than 2 weeks old. Do yourself a favor and buy the Canon grip.

Comments about Bower Battery Grip for Canon EOS 60D DSLR:
This grip came with the accessory kit bundle along with my Canon 60D. When i went to load the battery magazine the small plastic tab that is twisted to open the device just fell off. I didn't even twist it. Just lifting the tab to the vertical position was enought to break it off making it impossible to open the device. I've contacted B&H for the best coarse of action but I am very disappointed with this product.

Comments about Bower Battery Grip for Canon EOS 60D DSLR:
First off, I got the grip and installed it on my 60D, I noticed that the selector wheel on the grip was very rough to make your focal point selection. Then today I went to do a family photo shoot with a client and both batteries were dead. When I went to take the batteries out, the latch on the tray broke off. I got the batteries out, took the grip off. I would not buy this at all. I use the Vello battery grip on my second 60D and have not problems with that.

I am a nightclub photographer and decided to try and save myself a few bucks by getting this instead of the Canon model which is 200+bucks more in canada. After half a night the battery tray lock broke and has now made changing batteries impossible, definitely returning this for another product. this is not worth your time or money. spend the extra and save some time

Battery grip's battery rack wouldn't fit inside the grip itself. Scratched a couple of my LP-E6 batteries. Button came broken, kept autofocusing camera. Buy the Vello one

Comments about Bower Battery Grip for Canon EOS 60D DSLR:
Very easy to install onto your camera. Battery life is great and you don't need two lithium-ion batteries to start. It's a bit heavy, but you get use to. I shot over 500 pictures this weekend and the bulkiness didn't bother me at all. The price was in my budget range, which was $100.00 less than Canon's EOS 60D DSLR Battery Grip
