The PS40-HPT Day/Night Tactical Kit w/Leupold Mark 4 3.5-10x40mm Riflescope from ATN mates the excellence of the PS40-HPT night vision optic with the high performance of the Leupold Mark 4 LR/T 3.5-10x40mm riflescope. The dependability and performance of Leupold's riflescopes are legendary. This kit is everything a shooter is looking for; be it hunting, tactical, long-range or target shooting. The night vision device mounts in front of the Leupold Mark 4 riflescope enabling nighttime vision through its HPT intensifier tube. The HPT tube is an upgrade of the CGT tube. Like the CGT it has a multi-alkali photocathode with a MCP - micro channel plate. However, the HPT tube increases the sensitivity, resolution, and signal-to-noise ratio producing an exceptionally improved image clarity and brightness. HPT specifications are often equivalent to standard 3rd generation intensifiers. All the hardware needed for mounting the riflescope and mating the PS40-HPT is included.

Configured with an 80mm, f/1.4 catadioptric lens and a 40mm output window, the PS40-HPT provides night vision capability for daytime riflescopes. A removable IR450 infrared illuminator is included for those situations where there is little or no ambient light. The kit includes a quick release mount which allows the PS40 to be attached or unattached to the rifle with an easy and smooth motion so that there is no shifting due to impact and no need to re-zero; no change of eye relief occurs. This night vision system features an HPT intensifier tube that is rated to deliver 55-72 lp/mm of resolution with an s/n ratio of 16-24, and an automatic brightness control and bright light cut-off to protect the intensifier from excessive light flares. It is waterproof to 32.8' / 10m for 30 minutes.
