The Epic HD Action Video Cam shoots 1280 x 720 HD video with audio. It also shoots D1 720 x 480 and VGA 640 x 480 video/audio. Plus, it can capture JPEG still images with either 8.0, 5.0 or 1.3 megapixels. The camera also shoots still images with 1 - 9 adjustable burst mode for capturing sequences. The HD Action Video Cam features MP4 file extension format with compression H.264 codec at 30 frames per second. It has a 5.0 megapixel color CMOS 2.5" sensor and a 6P glass and 1P optical plastic lens with IR coating. The lens boasts an 168° wide-angle diagonal view with a 168° output view angle on stills, 120° output view angle on video, and fixed focusing 1M to infinite.
The HD Action Video Cam is designed for any type of sport or adventure use. Epic sells several optional mounting applications and the camera has Exposure / Balance image quality control. There's also a 1X, 2X and 4X digital zoom for both video and stills. For storing your recorded videos, the device features an SD Card slot that supports up to 16GB SD Cards. For buffering, the camera has an internal 32MB DDR flash memory. The HD Action Video Cam runs on three AAA batteries and has a single USB 2.0 high-speed output for transferring your video and stills to your computer. It also has an adjustable 10/30 second self timer and an optional A/V output via the Epic Viewer preview/review screen. The camera is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 7.
