This film was used along side a roll of Pan F 50 and I am please with the results. The description from B&H is spot on about it's contrast/grain. I find it scanned and enlarged well, and also produced acceptable prints/scans for everything from travel to fine art. It is slightly grainier than the Pan F 50 but it's pleasing to look at and use. No problems with this film, and since it's in a two-pack, would certainly purchase again for that deal!

probably better to develop in whatever ilford recommends.

Shoot film like it's going out of style! I'd be shooting HP5+ in any case--it's been my favorite film for years--but at this price, I'm stocking up.

Comments about Ilford HP5 Plus 135-36 Black & White Print Film (Two Rolls):
I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing with photography, I bought this film for my basic photography class. It came highly recommended by a photographer friend of mine, as well as my Photography Professor. The image quality is incredibly sharp and the tonal range seems quite nice. I understand that the paper I purchased only has a range of 32 shades from black to white, but it looks as though I can get all of them in my prints. :)

The pictures come out crisp and sharp and are a joy to look at once printed. I've been using this film for several months now and I think it looks better than Tri-X film

This was recommended by my professor and so far I have had very good shots - I am a total newbie at photography and so don't have much experience other than my professor's but I am very happy with this film and do not see myself purchasing any cheaper equivalents.

The film has the white packaging, doesn't expire anytime soon. It's the favorite among many, with an ISO of 400 it is usable in dim light or under bright sunlight.

What are you waiting for 2 for the price of one on a film that is consistently ranked at the top. Best non T-grain ISO 400 film on the market. The whites sparkle while the blacks have a nice tonal range. Lower contrast then TriX so generally easier to scan.

After a brief foray into digital shooting, I returned to shooting film almost exclusively. I always liked this film, great contrast, easy to process, etc., but was put off by the cost. This two pack is a great way to stock up and give it another go. Thanks, B&H and Ilford.
