The 6184.81 Underwater Housing with Nikon CoolPix S8100 Camera B&H Kit from Ikelite enables you to shoot underwater with your Nikon digital camera. The underwater housing offers an unobstructed view of the camera's information and control functions and operates safely to a depth of 200'. All camera functions except the rotary multi-selector dial are accessible in this housing, and most of the functions of the rotary multi-selector can be accessed through the housing using the left and right arrow buttons. Camera installation is quick and simple. Two 12-24 threaded mounts on the bottom of the housing allow for the secure attachment of optional trays and lighting accessories.

The included flash diffuser improves lighting quality when the camera's built-in flash is used. The housing comes standard with a flat port which allows full use of the camera's zoom without vignetting. For wide-angle work, the housing accepts the optional Ikelite WD-4 Wide-Angle Conversion Dome Port. The conversion dome corrects for the refractive magnification of the flat port underwater to restore the camera's original angle of coverage.

The Nikon CoolPix S8100 digital camera boasts a 12.1MP CMOS sensor and a sharp, wide-angle to telephoto 10x optical zoom lens (30-300mm 35mm equivalent) made with Nikon ED glass. Shoot in 1080p HD video at 5 frames per second. Experience 4-way image stabilization for sharp photos even in low light, and a beautiful 921,000-dot high resolution 3" LCD display. Subject Tracking automatically tracks and auto focuses on a moving subject. The camera also features one-touch video recording with optical zoom, stereo sound and an in-camera editing function.

The HDR (high dynamic range) function automatically merges several images of the same scene to achieve a single image with a broad, beautiful range of tonal detail not otherwise possible. Night Portrait combines consecutive shots of the background while the subject in the foreground is taken using the flash, allowing challenging night scenes to be easily captured during handheld shooting and eliminating any subject movement. Night Landscape combines a series of five consecutive shots taken at a fast shutter speed into a single image with reduced noise for taking handheld shots in low light. There's also the Smart Portrait System, with In-Camera Red-Eye Fix, improved Face-Priority AF / Auto Focus, Blink Warning, Smile Timer, and Skin Softening to make your friends and family actually happy to see themselves in your pictures.
