The housing is TTL compatible with all DS Substrobes. The Release Handle system allows for easy attachment and removal of Substrobe mounting arms at the touch of a button. Two screws remove the handle and tray assembly for traveling. An External Strobe is recommended to improve the images by reducing the illumination of particles suspended in the water. The housing is sized and weighted for near neutral buoyancy and superb handling underwater. An assortment of interchangeable lens ports allows use of most macro, wide angle, and zoom lenses. The Ikelite Super-Eye magnifier provided with the housing secures to the camera eyepiece and offers enhanced viewing while wearing a diving mask.
The Nikon D7000 DSLR camera (body only) boasts a 16.2 Megapixel DX-Format CMOS sensor that works together with Nikon's EXPEED 2 image processor. Add a 3" LCD display with super-high 921,000- dot resolution and a pentaprism optical viewfinder, and you have a recipe for superb image quality, even in low light. You can capture 1080p HD video with full time AF/ autofocus at cinema-quality 24 fps / frames per second, or record Internet-friendly video at 720p in 24 or 30 fps - up to 20 minutes per clip. As if that were not enough, you also get 6 fps burst shooting. Once recorded, you can edit and trim video clips right in the camera to save time in post production! The D7000 also has an HDMI output for one-cable connection to your HDTV.
The D7000 lets you create both RAW and JPEG images. The 39-point AF system makes the camera compatible with over 60 NIKKOR lenses. Face priority can track up to 35 human faces! Nikon's innovative Vibration Reduction (VR) II technology helps to eliminate the effects of camera shake. Utilizing Nikon's exclusive Scene Recognition System, the camera analyzes subject information from a database containing more than 30,000 images to optimize focus, exposure and white balance. To assist in creating amazing imagery, the Scene Recognition System reads data from a groundbreaking 2,016 pixel 3D color Matrix Metering sensor that examines the scene's brightness and color data, then optimizes the camera's performance prior to the actual exposure.
Among the many editing options are color filters, distortion control for a fisheye effect, perspective control for a miniature effect, or a new color sketch filter that creates a sketch-styled image. As always, manipulated images are saved as copies while the original is retained. The camera employs a new EN-EL15 battery which enables up to 1,050 shots on a single charge!
