The OWC / Other World Computing 240GB Mercury Legacy Pro SSD 2.5" IDE/ATA 9.5mm Solid State Drive is designed for use with MacBooks and desktops. It features an instant data access system with no drive spin up process, and supports up to 41x faster speed. The SSD features 256GB of total flash memory with 16GB memory allocated for real-time data redundancy and error correction.
In addition to the RAISE (Redundant Array of Independent Silicon Elements) technology, the ECC protection also protects the data on your hard drive. The 240GB Mercury Legacy Pro SSD 2.5" IDE/ATA 9.5mm Solid State Drive features intelligent block management, and the wear leveling system evenly distributes the data over the hard drive. An intelligent read disturb management spreads the active read/write eliminating data corruption.
Advanced intelligent recycling ensures space management by re-writing the data over the SSD, and Durawrite extends the quality of the hard drive. The 240GB Mercury Legacy Pro SSD 2.5" IDE/ATA 9.5mm Solid State Drive has no moving parts and a highly rugged storage solution offers faster system response.
