We've installed ~50 of these drives and they work great. Just make sure you have a recent firmware installed as there was a serious bug fixed in January 2012.

Comments about Crucial Technology 64GB m4 SSD 2.5" Solid State Internal Drive:
The preceeded positive reputation of this drive seems justified in my experience: Windows 7 boot time, drive access R/W time is doubled, and the end life is projected to be in its 9th year - probably longer than this old guy will be around.
Except for storing downloads on a spindle HD, this one functions otherwise as my "C" drive, and Windows 7 does whatever it does to optimize it - I have not tweaked it.
No negatives in my limited use, and I would definitely buy again, only a drive with more capacity so that the use would be longer - don't we all want the longest life possible?

Comments about Crucial Technology 64GB m4 SSD 2.5" Solid State Internal Drive:
Bought two of these as they were at a good price, using one as a boot drive. Firmware updated easily and didn't lose any of my existing data. Windows loads before the Windows 7 logo can finish doing it's swirling thingy, in fact the slowest part of the whole process is me typing my password. Assuming these things don't die in the next few months, they are a great piece of hardware and a great purchase.

Using it for the OS and a few games. Noticably quicker than a 7200rpm. Wish I had the 128GB version instead!

I was looking for a high performance SSD for my new computer build and this drive is exactly what I needed. I put the OS and a few of my most used programs on it and the speed is incredible. Boots in under ten seconds and no waiting for programs to load when the desktop comes up.
Tips:
-Make sure you get the latest firmaware upgrade from the Crucial website. Just make a bootable disc and you're good to go.
-Go into the BIOS and change default setting from IDE to AHCI.

So far so good. Great drive for operating system. Wish there was a little more usable space after installing the OS but it's quick, cool, and silent and that's really what matters.

Just remember to make sure the alignment is correct. It's easy if you are doing a clean install (with win7) to a single partition, but check the net for instructions if you have a more complicated install.

It just works. And it is incredibly fast. 7.9 WEI! Just popped it in, installed Windows 7, and everything has worked flawless. Windows installed in just a few minutes, boots in a few seconds, and you rarely see a loading screen when playing Battlefield 3. Loading apps are almost instant. Its like the computer knows what you are going to do it before you do it :) Buy this!
Would be nice if it came with a 2.5->3.5 mounting kit, but thats what duck tape is for.

Solid State Drives are the way to go if you want the fastest responses and loading speeds on your computer.
Shiped to me with outdated Firmware, but the firmware was Easy to download through the manufactures website and update the system.
I bought second one of these 64GB M4 Hard Drives through another vendor that was local (CA) (B&H shiped from NY and I'm in CA) becuase I needed a second one before the Holidays to run Raid 0 with less shipping costs. The second drive came with the most recent firmware.

Comments about Crucial Technology 64GB m4 SSD 2.5" Solid State Internal Drive:
Installed Crucial 64 GB SSD in an HTPC for windows 7 pro, with a modest i3 530 CPU clocked to 3.5ghz. Fast boot time, computer behaves like one with a more powerful processor. Note, you will need to partition and format the drive like any new drive under custom install when installing windows 7. Be aware windows 7 will take up about 31 gigs so install apps and data on another drive. That being said, you will not want to go back to a traditional HD for OS once you experience the fantastic performance of an SSD.
