Works well, although I was trying to use it for high end video recording and it is much to slow.

This is a GREAT little drive that gives my 3 year old laptop the speedy boost it deserves.
Cold starts have gone from nearly 60 seconds to about 15 seconds, and I've tacked on an additional hour of battery capacity.
Me likey.

I replaced the stock hhd in my 2009 macbook pro with this drive, and it was easy to install and noticeably speeded up the performance of my computer. it's only been in the machine for a few weeks, but so far so good.

Comments about Crucial Technology 128GB m4 SSD 2.5" Solid State Internal Drive:
Start up is extremely fast, apps launch up right away & shuting down is faster than before. I own a 500GB 7200 rpm and love it, until I saw a friend of mine upgrade to a 64GB SSD by Crucial. I saw how smooth and faster is computer is. So that caught my interest in the SSD & it is the best thing I bought for my laptop. Very quiet as oppose to my 7200 rpm which I heard sometimes when my computer was stress.

Comments about Crucial Technology 128GB m4 SSD 2.5" Solid State Internal Drive:
Okay, holy grail is pushing it, but what an improvement. Recnt tests showed the 64Gb version is to be left on the shelves, the 128 is the way to go. More than enough room for all the (OS) software and still plenty of room for a normal amount of files.
You will need an external HD for movies and other large files/folders, but using this on my laptop is more than sufficient. Just have to stay organized.
Came well packed and arrived before estimate time given by e-mail. With copying software, transfer cable and instructional video on Crucial website preparing the SSD is a breeze. Even I can do it. Opening and replacing the HDD for the SSD is faily simple, with some basic knowledge it is an easy upgrade for the computer.

and faster than HDD, of course. BUT it's still expensive. Bought this on 3-30-2012 for ~153, it's now 119 as of 05-13-2012. I'll wait until they are below [$]/gb or more; then will buy the 512 Gb one the next time.

I bought 2, and set them up in a RAID 0 (striping) array, which has worked brilliantly thus far. Would highly recommend these Crucial SSD's to anyone who'd like to turbo-charge their laptop, while extending their charge time (since the SSD's don't use as much power as an HDD).

Comments about Crucial Technology 128GB m4 SSD 2.5" Solid State Internal Drive:
Replaced a laptop 500GB Hitachi 5400 rpm drive with this Crucial m4 ssd 128GB. After cloning the old drive using Data Transfer kit (Acronis software and SATA cable), I replaced the old drive in about 7 mins.My 2 year old Acer i5 came with SATA II yet the speed improvements were excellent. In general,it used to take at least 20 secs (after tweaking) or more to shut down, now 7 secs flat. Booting up gain was much more, before approx 100 secs or more to get on the net, now I view the browser home page in 22 secs. There are a few necessary changes to the system such as disabling defrag, disabling prefetch and superfect, disabling files indexing in windows. Please google ssd and defrag to read what recommended changes to the system need to be performed when using ssd drive. Last but not least when cloning the hard drive, be sure to keep the ssd aligned. Acronis software also performs this task (4K alignment)as an option when it clones the drives.

Comments about Crucial Technology 128GB m4 SSD 2.5" Solid State Internal Drive:
I finally decided to try running my OS and heavier games off of a solid state drive and the difference has been tremendous. Windows boots and runs much, much faster, and loading or using the same program from this drive rather than an HDD takes, on average, half the time.
As a brand, I've been using Crucial for nearly 10 years and I'm not surprised at the quality of this particular product. It runs great out of the box and I would guess, like every other product of theirs I have owned, it lasts until I'm ready to move on to something else.
The cost is certainly nothing to scoff at, and I don't recommend using it as your only drive since media can take up so much space, but if you're into games, heavy apps, or just want to be able to restart Windows in under 20 seconds, grab this!

Comments about Crucial Technology 128GB m4 SSD 2.5" Solid State Internal Drive:
This is my first SSD and I am very pleased with it. Good price/size ratio. I am using this as the boot drive for new desktop PC. Installation was easy but be warned this drive does not come with an adapter bracket for mounting in a 3.5 slot. Not a big deal, most buyers will probably be putting this in a laptop and won't need an adapter. Supports trim in either AHCI or IDE. AHCI in the preferred mode. Be sure to enable this or raid setting in bios before installing your OS. I am installing my lesser used programs on a traditional hard drive to keep this SSD from being crammed too full. All in all very happy with it. There are faster drives out there but they cost more and you probably won't see the difference in everyday use.

This is a great product for the price. I replaced my original 5400 rpm drive in my 2007 MacBook Pro (Core 2 Duo 2.33) with this SSD and the result was as I expected. I use my MacBook Pro for software development and a complex build process is now only 20% slower than my 2010 MacBook Pro Core i7 with 8gb ram. The improvement over my old 5400 rpm drive was more than 25% for the same build process.
Otherwise, the applications that I've used thus far launch instantly and boot time has gone from about 2-3 minutes to about 30 seconds.

Just like any other drive, installs transparently. I installed it in a netbook as an experiment without any problems. Boot time has decreased and program access as well.
