The Crucial Technology 128GB m4 SSD 2.5" Solid State Internal Drive with Data Transfer Kit combines a m4 solid state internal drive with a kit that facilitates a quick and simple data transfer from one drive to another. The Solid State Drive has a SATA interface and is capable of transfer speeds up to 6Gbps. It's designed with high-speed synchronous MLC NAND, advanced controller technology and optimized NAND management. Unlike traditional hard drives, the RealSSD features no moving parts, which provides quieter and cooler operation - as well as better durability.
The Data Transfer Kit makes it simple to copy everything from your old hard drive, including operating system, data, email settings and applications, to your m4 SSD. The kit comes with EZ Gig III Cloning and Imaging software if you use Windows and Shirt Pocket SuperDuper! software if you're working with a Mac. For convenience, Crucial adds a USB to SATA cable as well.
The standard SATA interface will dramatically improve your computer's data transfer speeds for bandwidth-demanding applications like audio and video. It will also improve everyday operations like viewing and editing photos and other media, gaming, communications, productivity and security. The m4 SSD provides blazingly fast, reliable data storage and retrieval, while the kit helps you upgrade your notebook drive in just three simple steps.

Comments about Crucial Technology 128GB m4 SSD 2.5" Solid State Internal Drive with Data Transfer Kit:
I put this in an older Toshiba Satellite with an AMD turion processor. It cut the boot time to 1/3 what it was. Programs like Word and Excel just pop open. When you compare the price of a SSD to a regular one they seem expensive but when you compare the price to the performance gain they are cheap!

Comments about Crucial Technology 128GB m4 SSD 2.5" Solid State Internal Drive with Data Transfer Kit:
I just assembled a new computer and went with a motherboard that has a couple of SATA III ports.
In order to use all this motherboard has to offer ( Asus P8Z68-V GEN3 ) I bite the bullet and bought a couple of this nice Crucial 128GB m4 Solid State Drives and set them in RAID 0 as a boot drive on Windows 7 64-bit.
Wow, the boot speed, the access to any file, the start and closing of any program or the search on huge Microsoft Outlook files is impressive and worth every single dollar I have paid.
This drives are not the fastest SDDs in the market but they are really reliable.
Just do not forget to apply the latest firmware to them ( downloadable from the Crucial web site: version 0309 at this time ) and be sure to connect them to your motherboard using SATA III cables to get the full speed.
Hope this helps.

I just built a new computer and am using this drive for Windows 7, Lightroom 3, Photoshop CS5 and a few other programs. This thing is fast. I have no regrets so far. Did I mention that this is fast?

Comments about Crucial Technology 128GB m4 SSD 2.5" Solid State Internal Drive with Data Transfer Kit:
I bought this SSD after a lot of reading, and this brand consistantly was rated on top.
I used in for a new pc build to keep my OS (win7) and other main programs and also use a Hitachi HHD for games and photos, I can say that the SSD loads are very fast, I turn my PC on and I am at the windoes screen in around 10 sec.
Plug and Play was nice too!
Bought it from B&H and it was $20 cheaper than anywhere else I could find it, and the shipping was FAST, dont spend $ on extra fast shipping.

If you ever plan to upgrade your PC or Mac, this is the best solution offered by Crucial. I bought several Crucial SSDs and just cloned my exiting Win / MAc installations with help of the supplied software and USB/SATA cable.
Just boot from the CD, and the rest is almost automatic! My Mac mini and my PC boot very fast!!!

Comments about Crucial Technology 128GB m4 SSD 2.5" Solid State Internal Drive with Data Transfer Kit:
This is one of the fastest SSDs on the market. In real world tests the Marvell controller in this drive beats out the Sandforce controller in other top competitors. This controller is also more reliable, making this more reliable than drives such as the Kingston HyperX and OCZ Vertex and Agility series. The only drive that I would personally consider faster and more reliable would be the Intel 500 series SSDs, but that also comes with a much larger price tag. This is a fantastic piece of hardware, you won't be disappointed with it!

Comments about Crucial Technology 128GB m4 SSD 2.5" Solid State Internal Drive with Data Transfer Kit:
I have had the drive in my laptop where it cut boot time down from minutes to 35 seconds. I put the 7200 RPM 2.5" drive back in the laptop and connected the SSD drive in a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter and installed in my primary tower system. It made a noticeable improvement in this system as well. They are not exactly cheap but they do work. Be careful not to defrag an SSD drive.

Comments about Crucial Technology 128GB m4 SSD 2.5" Solid State Internal Drive with Data Transfer Kit:
This SSD is lightening fast. I am not a computer techie at all, but was able to watch videos on line for installation into an HP DV6000 series laptop. I installed the drive after cloning it with the included software and cables. The cloning took 1.5hrs. The installation of hard drive, 8minutes. Only tool needed. At first boot up, I had to boot from my Win 7 professional disk. After this, it was off to the races. My computer used to take 72 secs before I could launch IE. Now, I'm online in literally 31 sec. I fly between websites. All my applications open in less than 10sec. Before always at least a minute. This drive is a no-brainer to buy. also, a no-brainer to buy from B and H!

I upgraded my antique Macbook. It gave it a new life. Very fast, dead silent. The data transfer program worked flawlessly on Snow Leopard. I also used it on Lion with an iMac and a 512GB drive and had to download an update for the backup program. For the Macbook you need a Torx 10 screwdriver to replace the disk shield.

Comments about Crucial Technology 128GB m4 SSD 2.5" Solid State Internal Drive with Data Transfer Kit:
The Drive works as advertised. I am using it as boot drive on an i7-2600k desktop.
Would have given it five stars if the drive had come with the 2.5" to 3.5" mounting adaptor and would have settled for the non-kit version(cheaper) if it was obvious that the software was limited in not being able to transfer OS/data to the SSD just because the source drive was capable of storing more than the SSD could handle, in spite of the fact that the source drive actually had way less than the SSD size. Windows' "shrink volume" feature also does not help when you have 2TB boot volume(had only 50Gb of acual data)

Comments about Crucial Technology 128GB m4 SSD 2.5" Solid State Internal Drive with Data Transfer Kit:
Amazingly fast, very convenient with the Data Transfer Kit.
It's slightly thicker than a normal hard drive though. I put it in a slim enclosure and it scratched the edge of the drive.
Overall, I'm sastisfied with the product.

Comments about Crucial Technology 128GB m4 SSD 2.5" Solid State Internal Drive with Data Transfer Kit:
Upgraded my netbook, Samsung N150 Plus, hard drive with Crucial M4 SSD and I am very pleased that I did. Due to the relatively slow cpu, there was not much noticeable difference in booting of Windows 7. However, there is a significant improved loading difference of the applications, very fast. After reviewing different SSD products, I decided to purchase this one for its reliability.

Comments about Crucial Technology 128GB m4 SSD 2.5" Solid State Internal Drive with Data Transfer Kit:
Both the drive and the transfer kit worked out well. The data transfer kit made it easy to move everything over to the SSD. The software provides an option to ensure proper alignment of the first partition. From the box to first boot after data transfer took around an hour at most. After installing the drive, I checked each of the partitions (System Properties --> Storage) and they were all aligned properly.
The drive is fast as expected. Win7 boots in less than 30 seconds - the 4 orbs don't even touch before I see my desktop. Waking from sleep is particularly fast at about 5 seconds. Programs load quickly too. As for storage size, I don't have any media files, so 128 GB is more than enough for my needs. Also, I'm a typical average user and don't have techie comments to make on the controller, SLC vs MLC etc. As long as the drive doesn't die in 6 months, I'll be happy. Only gripe is the drive bay adapter - I realize they're useless for laptop users with 2.5" drive bays, but wish the adapters were included anyway for desktop users.
