The 2TB CloudStor CS-WX2.0/1D Network Hard Drive from Buffalo is a network storage solution with a wealth of online features. You'll be able to access data stored on the drive when you are away from home thanks to the myCloudStor.com web site. The 2-bay enclosure ships with only one drive installed. This allows you to add a second drive to expand the available storage capacity or to enable RAID 1 data mirroring. It connects to your network via Gigabit Ethernet, and features a USB 2.0 port for peripheral connectivity. It is powered by a 600MHz CPU for superior network performance.
Numerous network features are supported. You'll be able to share files with friends and family via e-mail, social networks, and the web. You can stream media files stored on your drive to your PS3, Xbox 360, or mobile phone. The drive is compatible with Mac and Windows computer systems.

Comments about Buffalo 2TB CloudStor CS-WX2.0/1D Network Hard Drive:
Works great after hunting down information from Buffalo's website and forums. A bit quirky - raid 1 had to suddenly recheck array for unknown reason wich takes 10 hours and email notification does not work, but otherwise does everything as advertised.

Comments about Buffalo 2TB CloudStor CS-WX2.0/1D Network Hard Drive:
What would have been $1000s enterprise technology and feature set 3 years ago, has now entered the home arena for less than $200. The featureset you are getting is unchallenged by anything on the market.
The Mac Timemachine server is working great with my Mac Book Pro Lion. I'm going to get a matching 2nd 2TB drive (Seagate ST2000DL003 has the best spec match) to RAID1.. my first experience with the comfort of RAID backup.
I have a multiple PC/Mac environment, and the OS neutral access from web works fine. The shared drives look like any PC shared drive. Now I don't have to concern myself with the PC sharing files being turned off, I'm moving all onto Cloudstor.
The torrent box capability is candy.
I had some initial problems getting Cloudstor to recognize my network router. But I plugged it into my laptop directly using enthernet, was able to log on to the web admin interface, and with some help from buffalo forum and faq, I updated the firmware and it's all been gravy. During which time I ran a format -- no!!! it took 1.5 days!
The nitpicks, you can't log into buffalo to directly manage your files, though it is clearly running linux. You have to use web pogo UI to move files between cloudstor shares, otherwise you are stuck with slow copy over LAN from one cloudstor folder to another cloudstor folder.
There might be an issue with performance. Some reviewers have complained of slow read/write speed. I'm not sure, as I'm not running a fast WiFi -- 54MB G network -- and it is as fast as my network gets -- peaks at 2.5 MB/s.

Comments about Buffalo 2TB CloudStor CS-WX2.0/1D Network Hard Drive:
I have easily and successfully set up a private 2 TB cloud with a mirror drive backup using the Cloudstor Machine. A few minor problem were ironed out promptly by a phone based support team. The unit is easily controled via software and has been up and running for 2 weeks. Minor improvements in the software would be indicated such as easily setting up limited size sections for friends to use. As it stands now, all open space is available to all users... a minor shortcoming as long as you know all your users!!

Comments about Buffalo 2TB CloudStor CS-WX2.0/1D Network Hard Drive:
I'm using this drive as a basic NAS devise for my Mac-based home business. I plugged it in, turned it on, and was immediately able to connect to the device. Using the Pogoplug website and apps (for iPhone & iPad, both of which I have) I'm able to access any and all files that are on the drive. Great!
I knock it down a star just because I can't find a way to rename the drive partitions it creates by default. I find the drive "public" a bit bland for my tastes...
