The Aphex Aural Exciter and Big Bottom Pro Bundle from Avid provides two famous processor plug-ins for Pro Tools HD systems. Used on thousands of hit albums, commercials, films, concerts, installed sound systems and broadcast stations, the Aural Exciter has the ability to increase presence and restore natural brightness and detail without significant equalization.
Big Bottom is modeled after the corresponding circuit in the Aphex Model 104 and works on bass frequencies by adding low-end presence and punch without increasing peak level. This allows for packing more bass into a mix without overloading amplifiers and recorders, or damaging speakers.
