DINR from Avid is a TDM and AudioSuite broadband noise reduction plug-in that can effectively reduce unwanted noise in audio files. The plug-in analyzes the source material and then clears fixed noise such as tape hiss, guitar-amplifier buzz, or air conditioner rumble, for example.
Controls over reduction amount, response, release, and a high shelf filter allow for custom adjustments. This is useful when trying to avoid the inevitable side effects of noise reduction, such as distortion, dynamic modulation (pumping and breathing) and the undesired fluctuations in frequency response.
