Comments about Contour Flex Strap Mount:
No option for 4.5 stars, so 5 it is.
I've used this flex strap mount quite a few times already (on the strut or frame of my motorcycle, on the roof basket or rock slider of my 4x4, etc.) and it has proven pretty useful. The base of the actual mount is curved to help accommodate a round surface. The radius bend is quite large though, so it's not as stable or wobble-free as it could be. But I guess that's OK because it does allow it to securely mount to large diameter items.
Even with the straps stretched pretty tight, the camera can shake a bit. That's why I wanted to knock off 1/2 a star.
I like that it has a rotating mount so you have plenty of adjustment to get the perfect frame.
This is probably the most universal of the Contour mounts. I recommend it.

Comments about Contour Flex Strap Mount:
This item is very versatile and allows me to mount my camera nearly anywhere at any angle. Since it uses a rubber strap, heavy vibrations or big bumps (I use it to shoot mountain bike rides) can make the mount wobble and shift. The flip side is that it allows me to mount the camera on a car, sailboat, multiple positions on the bike, even my wrist. It's a nice back-up mount for when the more specialized mounts won't quite fit the bill.

Comments about Contour Flex Strap Mount:
I bought this mount to bring with me on vacation. I used it on my wrist around the pool, the waterproofing on the contour cameras is really good. The only bad thing about this is the price.... but even at [$], its worth it.

Comments about Contour Flex Strap Mount:
I needed more ways to mount the Contour HD camera to the bicycles & motorcycles that I ride. This particular mounting system is about the easiest to use of the many I've purchased so far. It is easy to attach. It can go almost anywhere. It fits round & square tubing. The material is rubber- like feel which is very grippy. So the mount stays secure even on jumps, trails, etc. The time to install is the best part about it. No screws or bolts to mess with. Just find a place to mount & strap it on. Very easy to work with. Once mounted there is a button to press to rotate the camera 360 degrees. There is a cushion of foam material that isolates the mount keeping vibration to a minimum & keeps it from scratching the paint.
Only negatives I can think of. 1) the strap with the holes could be a little longer. 2) The button for rotating the mount is very small & once the camera is attached, it is sometimes hard to push with your fingers.
