I bought this for home use, and I use it about 60/40 as a scanner/printer. I love being able to scan things into PDF documents for archiving. (I hate paper!) So, I love that it has a MDF, which works well for scanning, and I also love that it can be set to duplex automatically to save paper. (Come on now, you know that's hot.)
The printer is relatively new to me, so I haven't run through the beginner's toner cartridge yet and can't comment on ink usage. I'm anticipating savings over my previous HP inkjet all-in-one, as I don't print that often, and I seemed to frequently find that my ink cartridges were dried out (because they were definitely NOT empty!) when I needed to print something. I also don't need color printing on any kind of regular basis, so it's really much more cost effective for me to go to a print shop when I truly *need* to print in color.
The printer "sleeps" when the computer is off, but it warms up quickly to print, and print quality is great. It is not the quietest beast on the planet, but that's not what I need it to be. I was looking for a cost-effective solution for home office printing (with duplex) and scanning (with MDF), and this was a great purchase for me. P.S. Don't be alarmed by the ridiculously large box in which B&H ships this thing; it's actually much more compact than the packaging would suggest.

This printer works very well and it is fast. The ink is cheap and the best thing is that setup was fairly simple given the display dialog. The printer is fairly quiet but still noticeable. The online interface is outdated when editing features online but still works.
If your goal is to save money it is great for a small business. The 250 sheet feeder seems a little small. I would recommend getting one that has a bigger feeder. The scan feature works fast though and prints look better than originals most of the time.
A great printer that would benefit from updated software. Not iOS compatible which is a bummer. Overall, a good buy that will save your business money if you do not need color prints.

Printer works well but even at the lightest print setting the print is dark.Unable to place copying of IDs front and back next to each other (they are on the same side of page but upside down from each other at opposite ends of the page. Both issues were reviewed by Brother tech.

Scans relatively quickly from ADF. I wish it would remember my settings however so that when i "scan to PC" it would default back to PDF each time rather than me selecting it in the menu...but that is minor. Setup was easy.

So far I haven't used it for a lot of printing, mainly for scanning documents. The scan image is pretty clear. The problem I have with this machine is the lights in my room will flicker when it prints, which is odd. My other printer does not have this issue.

it's easy to use it. The most important thing that is very interesting for me is automatic copying and scanning by this mulfunction printer.
There is a problem which I have with that is about automatic both sided scanning which I couldn't do that may be it could not do that or I don't know how to do that, but anyway it's manual is not very useful.

The printer is great. I can scan documents and they go right to my PC. The only downside is you have to install the Brother software in order for the drivers to work, but it's not that bad.

When I set this printer up on our network I thought I was running a Mac. There it was ready to install assign an IP address and it was done.
After trashing a Dell 3100cn I decided to use a B&W printer so I ordered it right here at B&H the printer shipped right away and arrive in two days.
If only my other three printers were as cost effective and easy to install I would be a happy IT man.
My other three (remaining) printers are a Dell 968 you have to but Dell ink and the scanner can't find the target computer half the time; a small Dell 1100 works fine but it a USB printer so to use it without a webserver the connected computer must be on and shared. And finally an HP Officejet and I know one thing I will never buy another HP printer in this life.
Back to Brother in conclusion it is just great goes to deep sleep saves power yet prints super-fast; so I will repeat and I think you will also "The Best Printer I've Ever Owned".

Exactly what I needed. Good multifuction printer.
Pros: Prints fast. Document feeder works great. Goes to sleep and is silent after a few minutes. Simple to use and install. Very clear text.
Cons: Lights flicker in room when it wakes from sleep mode. Display is hard to read unless you are in the perfect angle.
Overall I am satisfied with the purchase for the price that I paid.

Comments about Brother DCP-7065DN Monochrome Multifunction Laser Printer:
I bought this printer to replace an old laser since I needed a scanner and a new toner. I've used all the features on the printer and they all seem to work quite well. The software conveniently works over the network, so I don't need to have it connected through USB. As long as it stays working the way it has been, I'll be happy. My last budget laser lasted 7 years on the original toner.
The only negatives I can say are that it consumes a lot of power on warmup (my lights dim) and duplex is fairly slow. Other than that, the document feeder is quick and works well, the scan to button is convenient, the huge paper tray will last me forever, the manual feed does envelopes quite easily (even without using the proper instructions way). Also, you should probably be a bit careful with the flatbed lid. It seems to shut quite hard if you let it.

The printer is as advertised, came quickly, B&H's price was spectacular in comparison to all others. I use it at home, it's fast and easy to use. The one main drawback for me is the very very awkward envelope setup as well as the single sheet feed mechanism. The single sheet problem is not very bad, but the envelope requirement to lower two well-hidden green levers (two, not one) deep within the rear of the printer is ridiculous. At the same time, I'm not using the levers, it still prints envelopes, and they do come out wrinkled, but good enough for government work.

Printer works great. You can save a lot of paper by using the 4 in 1 function or the 2 in 1 function. Toner save mode is helpful as well.
I also purchased the TN450 ink cartridge from B&H, too.
The duplex function works perfectly. But, I believe only 1 side to 2 side, not 2 side to 2 side via the automatic document feeder.
Overall, a million times better than a ink jet printer and the copies are crisp and clear. I love the Brother Brand and B&H had the best price online.

It is a network printer with scanning and copying capabilities. It does not have a fax function which I don't need anyway. $50 cheaper than a comparable one with the fax. It is relatively affordable for [$]. It does make a sound after using it for 10 minutes but it does not bother me. This is normal for brother printers. It is a little bigger than I imagined but not gigantic. I would recommend this to any buyer who needs a network printer for moderate use.

Comments about Brother DCP-7065DN Monochrome Multifunction Laser Printer:
I switched from an Epson workforce color ink jet that was highly rated to this printer. The Epson was a pain in the rear--always running out of ink, confusing interface, always hard to change the ink, expensive maintenance. So it's been so nice to go to an easy printer that does what it's supposed to--print! Granted, it's not color, but we decided we would forgo color for simplicity, ease, and expense.
