The MuxLab HD-SDI Extender Kit (Transmitter/Receiver) enables HD-SDI (high definition serial digital interface) signal transmission using CAT5e/CAT6 cables in a point-to-point configuration at all resolutions. It offers a transmission distance up to 330' (100m) via CAT5e cables and up to 400' (122m) via CAT6 cables. In addition, the extender kit supports transmission of uncompressed, unencrypted digital video (embedded audio and/or Time Code transmitted optionally) signals at speeds of up to 2.97/3.0 Gbps.

Supporting video standards such as SMPTE 259M (270Mb/s), SMPTE 292M, and SMPTE 424M, the HD-SDI Extender Kit can be used for applications such as video production, broadcasting, camcorder, studio-to-studio, post-production, live events, medical imaging displays, mobile video, HD/SD routing, HD CCTV, and medical imaging.
