SHAPE Mountain 5100 Camera Support
The Shape Mountain 5100 Camera Support is an ideal solution for shooting in tight situations with a minimum of gear. The system has 3 components. The Powr-Grip TL6AMB vacuum cup has a 7.5 lb capacity and will cling to any clean, reasonably flat surface. When the red line on the pump is not visible, it's ready to go. The articulating arm provides camera angle options while the Manfrotto 143BKT camera bracket offers flexibility in movement and 1/4"-20 camera mounting screw.
- Strong Powr-Grip vacuum cup.
- Can be attached to any smooth or relatively smooth nonporous surface: glass, metal, plastic, ceramic and even varnished wood.
- Maximum load capacity of 7.5 lb (3.4 kg).
- Red line on the pump plunger indicates if the vacuum cup is attached securely or not.
- The camera bracket (included) can be replaced by a tripod head (not included).

Product came without documentation. SHAPE service is excellent, though and they send me both instructions, for the support and the vacuum cup. The only drawback is that I cannot mount my D5100 in an upright position hanging from the windshield down. The provided bracket is too narrow. So I will have to rig something up myself. The quality is great with the exception of one screw that holds the lower bracket in four positions. A spring loaded bolt would be much better to achieve the same result. The support has not been used as of yet, due to the fact that my Nikon does not fit the way I need/want it. But I will keep you updated.
