The Blue-Dot 2-Cell Hi/Lo/Strobe Flashlight from Brite-Strike is a tactical LED flashlight designed for police officers. It has light output up to 210 lumens, and a runtime at maximum output of 2.5 hours. The light beam is a brilliant white light with a wider “spread” for a flood effect. It's made from CNC machine milled aluminum, with a black anodized finish.
An HLS (Hi/Lo/Strobe) switch allows you to turn the light on with a full click-on, then quickly (and silently) move to low, then strobe, then back to high, all using just one hand. The front crenelated strike crown is blunted and the rear crown is more aggressive for maximum effectiveness in applying pressure point control techniques. The pocket clip is specifically designed for line officers and is reversed from other tactical lights. The clip features a greater clearance for lighting fast draws from either a BDU pocket, duty belt, or six pocket police pant. It also allows for quick mounting on a uniform epaulet, and quick removal when needed.
This flashlight is weatherproof and submersible, and operates on 2x 123A lithium batteries, which are included.

I can't help but compare this to my Surefire E2D which I've EDC'd for over a year and a half. I thought this might be a good replacement, but the tail cap switch feels cheap, and there's no momentary-on function. Instead, it has to be fully depressed and then fully released for the light to come on. This delay could make a significant difference in the outcome of a self-defense situation. I want my light to come on as soon as my thumb pushes on the cap.
The construction feels solid for the most part, but there's some rattling inside the battery tube if I shake/tap it.
For the money I expected better. I won't carry this myself, bit I'll give it as a gift to someone who isn't likely to need it as a self defense tool.
For the reasons mentioned above, I don't think this flashlight it well suited for self defense, but I'm sure others might disagree.

I work the night shirt for my police department. This light is twice as bright as my department issued flashlight. The strobe function is blinding, which is a good thing. It is solidly built and has a good run time compared to other flashlights.
