The Davis & Sanford Attaras 3-Section Aluminum Tripod with B11 Ball Head is a tall, lightweight tripod that comes with a professional ball head. The 3-section legs and 2-section center column reach a maximum height of 63" when fully extended with the ball head attached.
Constructed of extremely lightweight aluminum, the tripod & head together weigh only 4 lb. The system supports loads up to 9 lb, so it's appropriate for any compact digital camera, small camcorder, or even a DSLR with a fairly long lens.
Flip locks enable leg extension. Legs can be set independently at three different angles for work on uneven terrain. Thanks to the dual sections of the rapid center column, minimum height is a very low 11".
The included B11 ball head features separate adjustments for pan and tilt and comes with a QRB11 quick-release plate.

I use the tripod mostly for HDR photography including landscape, and for portraits. I found it to be much more reliable than the reviews I read gave credit.

Comments about Davis & Sanford Attaras 3-Section Aluminum Tripod with B11 Ball Head:
i use it for watching the sky through x100 binoculars, and occasionally for landscape pictures. i would have loved having sort of a "handling arm" to allow for easier alignment, but its just a matter of figuring out the trick. Otherwise a great purchase.

Comments about Davis & Sanford Attaras 3-Section Aluminum Tripod with B11 Ball Head:
Looking for a lightweight but tall ball head tripod. This is it. Stability is good but setting the camera takes a little getting used to. Bubbles may be hard to read with large camera.

Comments about Davis & Sanford Attaras 3-Section Aluminum Tripod with B11 Ball Head:
This isn't the lightest or smoothest operating tripod on the market, but you will have trouble finding a better value for even twice the price.
It is solid, and appears to be durable. I had a much more famous manufacturer's tripod before, and when it broke, I could not buy replacement parts. This one looks like it won't break...and it cost a lot less.
