The Davis & Sanford 3-Section Fusion Tripod with 3-Way Fluid Head is a full camera support system for either photography or videography. With an integrated 3-way fluid head that features a pan bar, the lightweight tripod is also well-suited for pursuits such as birdwatching.
Composed of an alloy of high-strength plastic and lightweight aluminum, the Fusion tripod reaches a maximum height of 61" with its 3-section legs and geared center column fully extended. The tripod system weighs only 3.7 lb and supports loads up to 8 lb.
The Fusion head features a built-in fluid system, which effects smooth movements for when you're shooting video or following a bird in flight. Movements are possible in two tilt directions, including portrait tilt. The easy-grip pan and tilt bar works with the calibrations for pan and tilt to ensure perfect leveling and precise adjustments and moves.
The quick-release system is about as quick as possible: Just pull the lock release lever, and pull out the plate. Featuring a video pin, the quick-release plate is non-keyed, meaning it can be inserted into the head as it faces any direction.
Folding down to 25", the Fusion tripod system includes a carry bag.

I use this for video recording with an HD camcorder. The head movement is smooth but I was surprised at how much pressure it took to move it. Once you get used to it, it's not a problem. The handle is a bit long which makes it very touchy when you're zoomed in. That too can be gotten used to with light adjustments instead of a full grip. Good construction and a great tripod for someone on a budget.

Comments about Davis & Sanford Fusion 3-Section Tripod with 3-Way Fluid Head:
I needed an inexpensive fluid head tripod for a small camcorder - this one is terrific for the price - its not a $500 fluid head tripod - but for working with a small camcorder or DSLR - fills the bill.

B&H shipped is fast and well packed. Always buy from B&H. Product appears fairly well made, but have not run it thru the ropes yet. Maybe a little too much plastic. Quick release plate works well, but should be better labeled to get a spare as it was very hard to track down (model no. should be cast into the part on the bottom. So far, no complaints. Ray from PA

Sturdy, well built tripod, and good price too. Bubble level is off a little, but for the price, I could care less. Overall, a good tripod for anyone on a budget.

Fast shipping, double boxed (the outer box took the abuse during shipping.)
Nicely priced for my young Grandson to use his small video camera on.
Just the right size, and with a carry bag.

This is a very durable tripod that I can trust! The only thing that I didn't like is that there is no leveler bubble for the camera plate. There is one for the legs but none for the camera.
