There is no question that the unit charges well, but Acer has unfortunately gone down the road of device specific chargers rather than the more popular approach of USB micro or mini plug chargers which are more universal. For a business traveler, the concept of changeable international plugs seems like a good one on the surface. But I already carry adapters for this purpose for all my other devices like laptop and cell phone. So these, which only work on this charger, are redundant and will stay in the box. In addition, you do not want to put this in your bag with the plug installed lest it punch holes in everything. Now you have an extra charger that you have to keep up with in 2 pieces in the bag. If they are going to require you to use their device-specific charging plug, at least put it on a charger that has fold-down US prongs like many other chargers these days. Even better, just make a cord with the special plug for the device, and a USB end that you can plug into your laptop or USB wall charger (with fold down prongs). I already carry those so all I need is a decent cord. We all need chargers but I purchased this primarily due to lack of other options. The price seems on the high side too. If someone creates a reliable, inexpensive, and convenient clone, they will probably clean up.
