The budget-friendly DXG DXG-5B1V Sportster High Definition Camcorder captures video and still images on land or under the sea. With its 5MP CMOS sensor, SD/SDHC flash memory, and waterproof rating of down to 10' (3m), the 5B1V delivers 1920 x 1080 HD footage via a simplified, easy-to-use system. The 5B1V sports a traditional form-factor, but provides a slightly bigger-than-normal 3" LCD display. Additional helpful features include 4x digital zoom, an LED video light, and HDMI output to HDTV.

I've had the camera for a week and I already sent it back for repair. A screw broke that holds on the battery and SD card door. With that screw broken the camera is not waterproof. Other than that the camera was pretty good for the price. I didn't like that it will not zoom in video mode, but it will when taking pictures. The first thing i did when i got it was to submerge it in the sink to make sure it was waterproof and it worked fine. All said i didn't expect alot of features for the price, but the lack of a zoom leads me to not recommend it.

Great Cam-Corder and great price.
Had an earlier model of this brand and the tripod screw attachment broke because it was plastic, happy to see they improved this model with a metal version. Unbeleavable clarity and definition of images, even too much for what I need. Use it for personal family images and sport kayaking mounted atop the kayak. Also better battery. (Li-ion rechargable)
