The Bosch MHW-S380R7-MC Management Server is an HP ProLiant DL380 Generation 7 (G7) server. Delivering excellent performance with enhanced
consolidation over previous-generation servers, it offers improved versatility, enterprise-class uptime, sophisticated management features, the latest processor series, and 2U density, all of which combine to make it well-suited for demanding video applications.
The server is engineered especially for
high-performance video applications requiring high levels of availability and redundancy. With its hot plug fans and power supplies, it offers high system availability where the number of unplanned downtimes caused by hardware
failures is reduced. The device also features a RAID controller that provides
internal RAID-1 operating system protection.
The MHW-S380R7-MC boasts a quad-core Intel Xeon Processor E5606 with a 2.13 GHz speed, DDR3-1066 memory, an 8.0 MB L3 cache and 80 W power. This CPU teams up with 4.0 GB (2x 2.0 GB) of PC3-10600R Registered DIMMs memory, running at 1066 MHz, to offer performance, scalability, and support for memory-demanding applications in medium-sized environments.
The server's 2U, 19" (48.3 cm) rackmount form factor features a quick-deploy rail system, including sliding universal rails, which enables access to all system components for simple in-rack serviceability.
Additionally, the MHW-S380R7-MC provides 6 Gigabit Ethernet ports via 2 HP NC382i Dual Port Multifunction Gigabit server adapters and 1 NC382T PCIe Dual Port Gigabit server adapter. The system also comes equipped with dual HP 146 GB 3.0 Gb/s SAS hard disk drives, each featuring a 2.5" (6.4 cm) form factor and spinning at 10,000 rpm. The HP SC11Xe SCSI HBA, or Host Bus Adapter, is also included, offering support for Ultra 320 SCSI, Wide Ultra3 SCSI, and Wide Ultra2 SCSI protocols. As a nice added touch, the system also comes with an HP Slim 0.5" (12.7 mm) SATA DVD optical drive. The MHW-S380R7-MC is bundled with the Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition, 64-bit operating system.
