The JMR 16TB BlueStor 888 8-Bay Desktop SAS/ SATA RAID Storage/ Drives/ Cables is a compact (0.78 sq ft / 0.07 sq m) desktop storage system that comes equipped with 8x 3.0 Gb/s hard drives, a SAS / SATA RAID controller and cables. The system has a data storage capacity of 16 TB and is designed for demanding imaging and video applications. The 888 features 12K IOPS (sequential, 15 K) over a 600 MB/s data transfer speed (sequential, 20 M) when utilized in tandem with a high performance server.
Since the drives come with the system, your 888 is ready for installation and connection to a host PC or server with an available x16, x8 or x4 PCI Express slot. Also included is a multilane mini-SAS interconnection cable. Featuring a smaller form factor than the majority of desktop computers, this whisper-quiet RAID storage subsystem offers simple installation and setup for the easy addition of up to 24 TB of data storage for SMB and SOHO market users.
Additionally, the 888 offers a concatenation port to enable you to expand your storage subsystem as needed. With a single inexpensive cable and a second 888 desktop storage system, adding an additional 8.0, 16 or 24 TB is as easy as clearing space for another unit and plugging it in. You can expand to four 888 units to get as much as 96 TB of desktop data storage!
