The JMR ELECTRONICS 32TB BlueStor FibreStream 16-Bay SAS to 8Gb/s FC RAID System/ Controller/ Drives is a high-performance RAID storage system. It comes fully equipped with a RAID controller and 16x 2.0 TB SATA II hard drives, for a total data storage capacity of 32 TB. Sixteen hot-swappable disk drive canisters / bays in a dense 3U rack mount form factor are capable of holding up to 48 TB storage capacity using optional 3.0 TB drives (not included).
The FibreStream delivers blazing-fast performance, superior reliability and versatility, superb data integrity and enterprise-level functionality for a broad array of video and computation-intensive data applications. The scalable storage system is the culmination of half a decade of research and development on the part of JMR. The result is a system that is as reliable and high-performing as it is cost-effective.
The FibreStream delivers super-fast sustained performance, boasting data transfer rates of up to 1650 MB/s, or over 1.6 GB/s, as well as high reliability for the most demanding video and data applications. The storage system features four 8.0 Gb/s Fibre Channel host ports (LC-SFPs) and SAS / SATA drive ports for optimal data delivery. Totally scalable, FibreStream enables you to produce or add to your existing Storage Area Network (SAN) easily and affordably.
The hard drives are contained in lightweight, sophisticated resin carriers with integrated light pipes, latching handles and EMI shields. All are interchangeable with other BlueStor products' disk carriers. The system is easily expandable beyond the 16 internal drives: Simply daisy chain a BlueStor SAS JBOD Expansion unit through the dual SAS 8088 connectors on the back of each FibreStream enclosure. Multiple expansion units can be connected to further increase your RAID.
In order to ensure high levels of reliability under the most unfavorable conditions, FibreStream boasts redundant (N+1) hot-swappable 620 W power supplies, as well as redundant (N+1) hot-swappable cooling fans. Providing a broad selection of RAID data protection modes, the FibreStream is capable of being configured for RAID 0, 1, 4, 5, 6, 10, 40, 50 or 60, delivering over 1.6 GB/s performance in RAID 50! True SES 2.0 services are integrated, as well, offering local or remote monitoring to help ensure enterprise-class reliability.
