The Cam Caddie Scorpion EX Video Camera Stabilizing Handle is a versatile camera support system for DSLR cameras with movie recording ability, and small camcorders. Made from a lightweight composite material with polymer grip, the Scorpion EX provides a comfortable and solid platform, and offers stable support dampening jerky movements like a camera stabilizer or Jib arm.
An accessory shoe comes with the support system, and allows you mount accessories like Lite panels, microphones, external monitors, lavaliere receivers, XLR input boxes, etc on the handle. The shoe can be adjusted to maximize weight distribution, thus ensuring enhanced operability. Featuring quick release attachment, the shoe further eases setting up your support system. Multiple accessory shoes can be used with the Scorpion EX, so that you can attach more accessories for professional quality video. Featuring ¼-20 threaded feet, the Scorpion EX can be fitted to the cheese plate (not included), which facilitates easy switching between handheld and tripod-mounted shots.

Straight up, this Scorpion Cam Caddie handle is excellent.
I use it for skateboarding on my Canon EOS 7D DSLR camera (with a fisheye of course).
It works great, the weight is distributed perfectly and it reminds me of when I used to film with a Sony DCR-VX 1000 camera.
I would definitely recommend this, it's nice, it's comfortable, and it's sturdy.

I am using the Scorpion EX kit with a T2i, and a Zoom H4n. With both of those items attached, it has a little to much movement. I would recomend getting the lock out kit, that should stiffen the whole rig up substantially. Other than that, this kit is awsome. Lots of optionis to choose from, and lots of goodies to attach.

film skating, better then opteka xgrip because all the different things you can do with it, comes with a mount to so that is cool, just feels alot better to hold the the xgrip
