Dot Line Standard to Hot Shoe Adapter with PC Cord
The Dot Line Standard to Hot Shoe Adapter with PC Cord converts a regular shoe, or cold shoe, to a hot shoe for powering on-camera accessories, such as lights or microphones. The Adapter uses an external PC cord and attaches it to the camera's PC jack for power to the shoe.

I setup a simple, inexpensive macro rig. But my rig resulted in a cold shoe setup. With this I was able to easily reenable my flash with no problems. Since I shoot macro with my flash in manual mode, this worked out beautifully.
I use it on my Canon 7D and 430EX speedlite.
