The Lens Vise from Camera Depot can save you time and money when you have a dented filter ring on your lens. The unit is dual-sided - one side for large diameters - the other for smaller rings. In either situation, this tool is simple to operate by merely fitting the tool inside your dented filter ring and screwing it out. No need to pound your ring or use pliers that can damage it even more.

          Comments about Nisha Lens Vise:

Sooner or later a lens with it's attached filter takes a nasty knock that dents and deforms the ring and it's threads. If neither the "rubber band trick" nor plastic filter ring wrenches can do the deed, this tool is a must have to safe remove the damaged filter. It's opposite side may be able to remove the dents distortion enough to continue it's useful service, thus eliminating costly replacement of a filter which would more than pay for the modest price of this tool. Only wish it was constructed of stainless steel, but that would add significantly to it's price. This is a handy tool for any serious photographer to have in their kit.

This thing is poorly designed, it doesn't work properly at all. I'm returning the one I purchased. It's a great idea that just doesn't work because of the poor manufacturing.

                    Comments about Nisha Lens Vise:

The most terrible build quality I have ever seen. Tool is not properly finished, so fine metal shavings and metal dust are generated while operating it. This also leads to complete jams, and it took so much force to unjam it that the lever arm became bent and unusable ... and unreturnable. Altogether, the tool only lasted about an hour, with about 55 minutes of this time spent trying to constantly unjam it and clean up the mess that it creates.

What's worse, is that it did not even work when it wasn't jammed. The threading pitch of the tool is not precise at all, so it ends up destroying your filter threads by crushing them completely.

This is an unbelievably horrible product, and I am being rather kind with my language here.
